Sanremo: piazza San Siro
One of the oldest squares in Sanremo , which today represents the historic centre of the city is San Siro. In the XVII century the Co-cathedral of San Siro was built, where Padre Siro who was later sanctified, officiated. The Cathedral over the years has undergone several modifications and restructuring works.
At the end of the Second World War the bell tower was rebuilt, it had been destroyed in a bombardment. During these works remains of the ancient foundations of the church dating back to 1000 were discovered,
